Mr. Lind was born on April 7, 1923, in Knife River, Minnesota, the son of Nels and Laura (Peterson) Lind. He graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1941.

Mr. Lind died at age 84 on February 28, 2008, in Duluth, Minnesota.
