PROSZEK Jr., Antone Franklin.

Antone Franklin Proszek Jr. was born on October 3rd 1945 to Antone C. Sr. &  Irene [Homewood] Proszek in International Falls, Minnesota.

Mr. Proszek enlisted in the U.S. Army in November 1965 during the Vietnam War. His tour of duty in Vietnam began on August 20th 1966. He was assigned to the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment, 1st Squadron, 11th Cavalry, Regt. APO 52th Francisce, D Company. He rose to the rank of Specialist 5 (SP5). 

SP5 Proszek was tragically killed during hostile action on April 27 1967 at  in Bình Dương Province, South Vietnem. He was only 21 years of age. His body wa recovered and returned home to International Falls. He is buried at American Legion Cemetery in International Falls. His name is also etched in the wall of the National Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC.
