Ronald Lee Zemple

Mr. Zemple served during the Vietnam War.

He served in the U.S. Navy and his rank was E3. Mr. Zemple was part of Helicopter Support Squadron 1, Detachment Lima, U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard (CVA 31).

Airman Zemple was an aircrew survival equipment man.

Mr. Zemple was born on December 17, 1944, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milan Zemple. He was a graduate of Grand Rapids High School.

He was part of a four-person rescue group aboard the U.S.S. Bon Homme Richard. Their aircraft went down just after take-off for unknown reasons on February 27, 1967. No bodies were ever recovered.
