He was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, and World War II Victory Medal. He was discharged January 31, 1946.
