John Ruzich

Mr. John Ruzich was inducted into the Army on March 31, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Hibbing, Minnesota.

He served as a Technician Fifth Grade and truck driver with Troop C of the 23rd Calvary Reconnaissance Squadron in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Mr. Ruzich was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with a Bronze Arrowhead and five bronze battle stars, and the World War II Victory Medal three Overseas Service Bars

He was honorably discharged on October 24, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
