Sulo J. Jacobson

Sulo J. Jacobson of Gheen, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on June 23, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class and truck driver for the Headquarters Company of the 381st Infantry Regiment and 96th Infantry Division in the Southern Philippines (Liberation) and in the Ryukyu Islands.

Mr. Jacobson received the Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars and bronze arrowhead, Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on April 16, 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
