William B. Anderson

William B. Anderson of Hibbing enlisted in the Army Air Corps on Oct. 30, 1942. He was a sergeant and an airplane and engine mechanic with Headquarters, 441st Troop Carrier Group, in England and Germany. He received the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service medal and four overseas service bars. He received a commendation for helping overhaul aircraft engines at a Strategic Air Force base in Europe. He was discharged on Feb. 13, 1946.
