DAWLEY, Lauson

Lauson Dawley was one of 18 locals of the St. Louis County area that served with the Union during the Civil War. 

Mr. Dawley enlisted in the 4th Minnesota Voluntary Infantry on August 9th 1862. Enlistment location was Lake Superior City (aka Duluth). He was assigned to Company G during the Civil War.

PVT Dawley was killed in action on in the Battle of Cornith, Mississippi, April 29, 1862 – May 30, 1862.

He is honored with his name on the Wall of Remembrance at the Veterans Memorial Hall Gallery at the DEPOT in Duluth, Minnesota.
