Toivo Harold Mattila

Mr. Mattila served in the U.S. Army. He was drafted in 1954 and served for two years. He spent time in Thailand walking the hills on a land-mapping crew.

He was born on September 21, 1925, in Wright, Minnesota, the son of Mary and Andrew Mattila. He was the youngest of 10 children.

Mr. Mattila died at age 83 on December 8, 2008, in Cloquet, Minnesota.
