Corporal Dupuis was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 187th Airborne Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Wonju, South Korea during a successful assault on Hill 255 against numerically superior Chinese forces on February 14, 1951. ** For his leadership and valor, Corporal Dupuis was awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
