James "Joe" Joseph Golden

Mr. Golden served in the Korean War.

He served in the U.S. Army, in the Army Security Agency, and was stationed in Nome, Alaska. He was involved in intelligence gathering and code-breaking.

Mr. Golden was born on July 29, 1932, in Corbin, Kentucky, the son of Dewey and Jewel (Jones) Golden. He attended high school in Evanston, Illinois. He attended the University of Illinois in 1951 and 1952, when his education was interrupted by military service.

Mr. Golden died at age 75 in Duluth, Minnesota
