Herb Dillon

Mr. Dillon served stateside during the Persian Gulf War.

Mr. Dillon is in charge of the Duluth, Minnesota detachment to the St. Paul, Minnesota based 5501st U.S. Army Hospital. He also is one of the men who teaches and trains the Park Point based 477th Medical Company, an ambulance unit that worked the front lines and enemy territory during the Persian Gulf war.

He served eight months active duty stateside. After being activated in September 1990, he was sent to Irwin Army Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas working in the emergency room.

At the end of January 1991, he was sent with about 35 other Northland members of the Army Reserve 5501st to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas before returning to Duluth in May 1991.
