Mr. Watsula served during the Vietnam War.

He served in the U.S. Army. He was drafted into the Army in spring, 1968. He trained at Fort Benning, Georgia, and in October, 1968, was an honor graduate from the Tracked Vehicle Mechanic Course. Mr. Watsula was subsequently stationed at Illesheim, West Germany, where he served in the 4th Armored Divison. He was discharged on April 1970.

He was born and raised in Meadowlands, Minnesota. He graduated from Toivola Meadowlands High School in 1966.

Mr. Watsula died in an automobile accident.
