GOODSKY, Eugene C.

Eugene "Gene" C. Goodsky was born at home in Nett Lake, Minnesota on February 5th 1942. He is raised on the Ojibwe Reservation as part of the Bois Forte tribe.

Mr. Goodsky joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served iduring the Vietnam War. He was assigned to the USS Princeton during the atomic bomb testing in the South Pacific. Later, he would be classified as an “Atomic Vet.” His rank was that of a Machinist Mate (MM),

After a brief break in service, MM Goodsky rejoined the Navy but this time a Seabee as a Builder (BU), doing what he loved: carpentry and serving this country.

He was honorably discharged in 1976. His daughter Dianna Goodsky also served in the Navy.

He took his last breath surrounded by family and wrapped in love from people around the world on February 9th 2022
