He was born March 3, 1946 in Duluth, Minnesota to Allan and Doris Crassweller. He attended and graduated Duluth East High School. Later he attended and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in education.
On October 18, 2007 he died in Duluth, Minnesota.
