BOUCHA, Henry Charles
Henry Charles Boucha was born on June 1st 1951 in Warroad, Minnesota. He is a full-blooded Ojibwe. He was a star hockey player for his Warroad High School and lead his team to the 1969 state tournament.
Mr. Boucha enlisted in the U.S. Army and continued to play for U.S. National teams during his term of service.
Boucha had been a star player on the US Olympic team and had played professional hockey for the Detroit Red Wings and the Minnesota North Stars.
After an eye injury forced him to retire from playing hockey, he served as coordinator of the Warroad Public Schools Indian Education Department.
Henry Charles Boucha is inducted into U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in the Class of 1995.
