BRENDEN, Norris Lee

Norris Lee Brenden was born on July 24th 1946 to Nels N. & Clara Johanna [Cleveland] Brenden in Deer River, Minnesota.

Mr. Brenden enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on September 16th 1966. He began his tour of Vietnam on March 9th 1967 during the war. He served with Company A, 1st Battalion,1st Marine Division.

He was listed as an Assaultman and rose to the rank of Corporal (CPL)

CPL Brenden was tragically killed in action on February 5th 1968 by small arms fire facing hostile enemy action. He was 21years old when he died in the Thua Thien Province near Hue City, South Vietnam.

He is buried at Breenwood Cemetery near Talmoon, Minnesota. He was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
