Mr. Colvin served during the Vietnam War.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War in Chu Lai as a helicopter dispatcher and was awarded the Bronze Star.
He was born on September 12, 1946 in Biwabik, Minnesota to William and Streling Colvin Sr. He attended and graduated from Aurora/Hoyt Lakes High School in 1964. After high school he attended the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. He later attended St. Cloud State University for two years to study math and philosophy. He spent one year while at St. Cloud to study aboard in Denmark.
On April 9, 2007 he died in Biwabik, Minnesota.
