Ahti A. Poola

Ahti A. Poola was inducted into the Army Air Corps on Sept. 28, 1942.

He was a Technical Sergeant and an airplane mechanic-gunner on B-26 bombers. He participated in 50 combat missions over enemy-occupied territory in the European Theater.

Mr. Poola received the: Air Medal with eight Oak Leaf Clusters, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with a bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars.

He received a disability discharge on March 17, 1945.
