Alan David Tibbetts was born on March 3rd 1926 to Mark Hopkins & Mary Plaunt [McGonagle] Tibbetts in Duluth, Minnesota.
Mr. Tibbetts joined the Navy on March 1st 1944 in WWII. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant. He was honorably dischrged in October of 1945. He was awarded the following medals:
- American Defense,
- WWII,
- Germany Occupation
LT Tibbetts ultimately re-enlisted in the Navy and served during the Korean War.
Mr. Tibbetts died on September 28th 1959 at 33 years of age in Yuma, Arizona. He is buried back home in Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth, Minnesota.
