Albert Fantigrossi was born on February 28th 1914 to Oreste & Marcelia Fantigrossi in Buhl, Minnesota.

Mr. Fantigrossi of Chisholm, Minnesota was inducted into the U.S. Army on January 23rd 1943 at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota during WWII. Home at entry: Chisholm, Minnesota.

He served with the 349th Engineer Company in the Aleutian Islands. He rose to the rank of Private First Class (PFC).

PFC Fantegrossi earned the following merits for his service:

  • Good Conduct Medal,
  • Meritorious Unit Citation,
  • Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal,  -and-
  • American Campaign Medal.

 

He was honorably discharged on January 22nd 1946 at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.

Mr. Fantigrossi died on June 28th 1972 at 58 years of age in Hibbing, Minnesota. He is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Chisholm, Minnesota.
