Mr. Anderson inducted into the Army on July 3, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minneosta. Home at time of entry: Soudan, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and a light machine gunner in Sicily, Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

Honorably discharged October 15, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
