Albert J. Santa

Albert J. Santa enlisted the Naval Reserve on February 2, 1944, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He attended recruit training at NTS in Farragut, Idaho.

He recalls; "We had 13 from Duluth Central High School and 13 from Duluth Denfeld....We had a good time in boot camp and upon completion, our company commander told us that if he never saw another sailor from Duluth it would be too soon."

He served as a Signalman Third Class in the Pacific Theater aboard two different ships.

Mr. Santa was awarded the following: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, American Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on February 4, 1946, at Great Lakes, Illinois. He also served during the Korean Conflict.
