Albert Lahti

Albert Lahti of Aurora was inducted into the Army on January 13, 1943.

He was a Private with Company C, 13th Infantry Regiment in the Rhineland Campaign. He was wounded in action in Germany on April 6, 1945.

Mr. Lahti received the: Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.

He was discharged on March 23, 1946 at Percy Jones Hospital Center in Fort Custer, Mich.
