MOREHOUSE, Albert Raymond

Albert Raymond Morehouse was born on March 30th 1916 to Eli Samuel and Rose [Anderson] Morehouse in Bemidji, Minnesota, The family moved eastward and Albert graduated from High School in Meadowlands, Minnesota.

Mr. Morehouse was drafted into the U.S. Army on January 7th 1942 and served during World War II.

He was a construction technician in the 807th Engineer Corps in the Aleutians beginning in May, 1942, for 26 months, and in Okinawa, Japan. beginning in January, 1945, for 9 months. He rose to the rank of Corporal (CPL).

On R&R back home he married his next door neighbor, Marion Fruh in July 1944. He was honorably discharged from service on November 16th 1945. Once he had returned they started a family.

He died on July 30th 2007, in Mt. Iron, Minnesota, at age 91. He is buried at Sunride memorial Park Cemetery in Hermantown, Minnesota.
