Albin J. Glavan

Albin J. Glavan was inducted into the Army May 13, 1941.

He served as a Sergeant and tank commander with Company C of the 706th tank Battalion in the Southern Philippines, Ryukyu Islands, and Eastern U.S. Mandates campaigns.

He was wounded in action on April 20, 1945, in Okinawa, Ryukyu Islands.

Mr. Glavan was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle starsk World War II Victory Medal and Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star.

He received a disability discharge on November 21, 1945, at Barnes Army General Hospital in Vancouver, Washington.
