Alfred M. Lung of Leonidas, Minn. was inducted into the Army on January 27, 1942.

He was a Sergeant in communications with Company M in the 159th Infantry Regiment in Northern France and the Aleutians.

Mr. Lung received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 12, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
