Alfred P. Romer

Alfred P. Romer of Virginia, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on April 30, 1942.

He was a Technical Sergeant, aircraft power plant mechanic, and air crew member with the 302nd Bomb Group, 15th Air Force in Europe.

He served in Rome-Arno and the North Apennines in Italy, in air combat in the Balkans, during the air offensive of Europe, in Normandy, and Northern France.

Mr. Romer received the: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 6 bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and 1 overseas service bar.

He was discharged on Sept. 12, 1945.
