Almon C. Johnson

Almon C. Johnson was inducted into the Army December 4, 1943, fort Snelling, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and light machine gunner with Company L of the 349th Infantry Regiment in Rome-Arno, North Apennines, Alpine and Po Valley, Italy.

Mr. Johnson was awarded: The Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and two overseas service bars. 

Honorably discharged February 20, 1946, Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
