Alton R. Anderson

Alton R. Anderson entered the Army on Dec.16, 1942. He was a scout with the 137th Infantry Regiment, 35th Division, in northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. His unit started at the Normandy invasion beaches and was at the Elbe River at the end of the war in Europe. He received the European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with five bronze battle stars. He was separated on Oct.16, 1945.
