Alton R. Anderson

Alton R. Anderson entered the Army on December 16, 1942.

He served as a Scout with the 137th Infantry Regiment of the 35th Division, in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He received the following: European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars.

His unit started at the Normandy invasion beaches and was at the Elbe River at the end of the war in Europe.

Separated on October 16, 1945.
