Ambrose Steve Unton served in World War II in the Pacific Theater.

He served in the U.S. Army beginning on April 5, 1946. He was assigned to the 3050th Ordnance Service Company and was part of the Occupation Forces in Japan. He was discharged on April 19, 1947.

His rank was T-5.

Mr. Unton was born in Chicago in 1927, the son of Nicholas and Gertrude Unton. He graduated from high school in 1945.

Mr. Unton was decorated with the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation (Japan).
