Title of Article: “Five Amyottes Serve Country”

Cook County has two 5-star families, one of them pictured this week—the Fred Amyotte boys of Colvill, Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs Fred Amyotte may well be proud of their sons and their sons’ fine record.

Reading down from top to bottom (in order of their length of service) are pictured Sgt. William N., stationed in Alaska, having a four-year army record. He is in field artillery work.

Sgt. Eugene G. in the Marine Corps, is serving in the South Pacific. He joined 3 months after William.

Sgt. Alfred H., is serving in the Burma sector and has a record of 21 months service.

T-Sgt. Andrew S. has been discharged from service following injuries suffered in the Aleutian area. He was married to Miss Violet Schoen, following his discharge, and is now living at Waubun, Minnesota.

Just to be different—or something—Benjamin A., the latest to enter the service, chose the U.S.N.R. He was named honor man of his recruit company, in May at Farragut, Idaho, and will soon catch up with his sergeant brothers if he keeps up the pace. He has his wife and two sons living at 14 North Twenty-sixth Avenue West, Duluth, Minnesota. He is attending basic engineering school at Great Lakes, Ill.
