Anna Augusta Ross

During World War II, Mrs. Ross worked for Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas, building airplanes. She was like “Rosie the Riveter.” Her husband, Russell, was serving in the military.

Mrs. Ross was born January 11, 1916, in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of August and Marie Fisher.

In 1960, she and Mr. Ross moved to Lutsen, Minnesota, where they operated a summer resort for 21 years on Caribou Lake, near Lutsen.

Mrs. Ross died at age 92 on September 14, 2008, in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
