Anthony Kostanko

Anthony Kostanko of Iron was inducted into the Army on August 28, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He was a Technician 5th Grade and radio operator with Headquarters Battery, 106th Field Artillery Battalion in the Eastern Mandates and the Ryukyus.

Mr.  Kostanko received the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal and five overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 25, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
