Arnold J. Rankila

Arnold J. Rankila of Gilbert, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on March 23, 1942.

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and a halftrack driver with the Headquarters Company, 34th Tank Battalion at Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

He received the following: Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with 5 bronze battle stars, American Campaign Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and 3 overseas service bars.

Mr. Rankila was honorably discharged on October 30, 1945.
