FICHTNER, Arthur Robert

Arthur Robert Fichtner was born on June 22nd 1922 to Arthur Oscar & Clara M. [Ario] Fichtner in Duluth, Minnesota.

Mr. Fichtner served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II. He enlisted on January 31st 1943 at Jefferson Barracks Missouri. He was trained in radio communications at Scott Field, Illinois, in 1944. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT).

SGT Fichtner was honorably discharged on February 7th 1946. After the war he returned home and married Inger Marie [Pederson].on April 30th 1944 and they started a family.

Mr. Fichtner died on July 22nd 2000 at 78 years of age. He is buried at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, Wisconsin.
