Arthur V. Maunu of Floodwood, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on Sept. 4, 1944.
He was a Private First Class with Company H, 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division in the Rhineland and Central Europe.
Mr. Maunu received the: Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Service Medal with two bronze battle stars, Army of Occupation Service Medal (Germany), World War II Victory Medal and two overseas bars.
He was discharged on July 26, 1946.
