Arthur W. Maki

Arthur W. Maki of Vermilion Dam, Minn. was inducted into the Army Air Corps on June 6, 1943.

He was a Staff Sergeant, armorer and aerial gunner with the 4132nd Army Air Forces Base Unit. He served with the Air Offensive Europe in northern France, the Rhineland and Western Europe.

Mr. Maki was awarded the: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Crew Member Badge, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars and the World War II Victory Medal.

He was honorably discharged on Oct. 22, 1945 at Sioux Falls, S.D.
