Axel Finni was inducted into the Army on Sept. 4, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn. 

He served as a Technician 5th Grade and watch repairman with the 3165th Ordnance Base Battalion in Central Europe and the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Finni was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-MiddleEast Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on Dec. 30, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
