Bennie J. Jeanetta, Jr.

Bennie J. Jeanetta, Jr. entered the Army on February 10, 1941, in Duluth, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with the 125th Field Artillery, 3rd Division, 7th Army in Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France, and Germany. He served under General Patton and Bradley. Declined a field commission and had more combat than any in his battalion.

He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Croix De Guerre with palm, and five overseas service bars.

Mr. Jeanetta was honorably discharged on May 23, 1945, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
