CAVALIER, Carl Charles

Carl Charles Cavalier was born on March (May?) 20th 1912 Dominic & Letetia "Lucy" [Staffaroni] Cavalier in Hibbing, Minnesota. He married Helen I. [Peterson] on June 6th 1938. 

Mr. Cavalier was inducted into the U.S. Army on September 16th 1942 at Fort Snelling in Minneapolis, Minnesota during WWII. Home at entry: Hibbing.

He served as a motor sergeant and platoon leader with the Third Infantry of the 37th Infantry in the Aleutians and European Theaters. He rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT).

SGT Cavalier earned the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with battle stars for the Aleutian Campaign and Rhineland.

He was honorably discharged August 3rd 1945. After the war he returned home to is wife.

Mr. Calalieri died on January 29th 1993 at 81 years of age. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
