Charles J. Jarvi of Mountain Iron, Minnesota was inducted into the Army Air Corps on August 27, 1942 at Fort Snelling, Minn.

He served as a Private First Class in base maintenance with the Supply Division of Base Air Depot #1 in the European Theater.

Mr. Jarvi was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal and three overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on February 8, 1945 at Camp McCoy, Wis.
