Chester L. Johnson

Chester L. Johnson of Parkville, Minnesota was inducted into the Army on October 10, 1941.

He was a Sergeant and gun crewman with Battery C of the 206th Field Artillery Battalion in the South Philippines and the Ryukyu Islands.

Mr. Johnson was awarded the: Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two bronze battle stars, Philippine Liberation Medal with two bronze stars, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and seven overseas service bars.

He was honorably discharged on November 4, 1945 at Camp Ulysses S. Grant, Ill.
