VAN DELL, Clayton Leon

Clayton Leon Van Dell was born on December 2nd 1917 to Emil & Alice [McGraw] Van Dell in Eveleth, Minnesota. He moved to Duluth and worked for the DM&IR railroad.

Mr. Van Dell registered for service on October 16th 1940. He served in the U.S. Navy's Coast Artillery Corps, Anti-Aircraft Unit as a Private based in Boston, Massachusetts.

PVT Van Dell was honorably discharged in February 1944. After the war he returned home and married Marjorie and they started a family. He was a member of the local VFW #1717.

He died on December 25th 1969 at 52 years of age.
