Costonzo M. Beltramo

Mr. Beltramo inducted into the Army on November 28, 1942. Home at entry: Angora, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class and a BAR man (Browning Automatic Rifle) with Company G of the 409th Infantry Regiment of the 103rd Infantry Division and the 90th Infantry Division in combat.

In his words: "We wound up in Southern England. We crossed the channel in early evening on the sixth of June (for the Normandy invasion). On July 3, 1944, on the march to St. Lo, I got a gunshot wound in the right thigh. When I left the hospital, I got limited service ''til I came home."

He was honorably discharged on January 12, 1946.
