Cyril C. Von Wald

Cyril C. Von Wald was inducted into the Army on March 14, 1942, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Red Lake Falls, Minnesota.

He served as a Sergeant and message center chief with Headquarters Company of the 15th Armored Infantry Battalion in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

He was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with five bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and three overseas service bars. 

Mr. Von Wald was honorably discharged on October 15, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
