David B. Dahlberg of Duluth, Minnesota entered the Army Air Corps in August, 1942.

He served at the rank of technical sergeant with the 837th Bomb Squadron, 487 Bomb Group, 3rd Bombardment Division, 8th Air Force, in England as a flight engineer and gunner on the B-17-G Flying Fortress "Piccadilly Lilly."

He flew 35 combat missions in the air offensive over Europe.

He was separated from the service in October, 1945.
