David J. Meyer

David J. Meyer entered the Army on June 3, 1943, at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. Home at entry: Duluth, Minnesota.

He served as a Private First Class with Headquarters Company of the Third Battalion of the 342nd Infantry Regiment and 86th Infantry Division in Central Europe.

Mr. Meyer was awarded the following: Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, American Campaign Medal Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with one bronze battle star, World War II Victory Medal and one overseas service bar.

He was honorably discharged on March 23, 1946, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
