Don H. Thronson

Don H. Thronson enlisted in the Regular Army Air Corps on October 13, 1941. Home at entry: Mahnomen, Minnesota.

Mr. Thronson served as a Master Sergeant and airplane maintenance technician with the 834th Bombardment Squadron (Heavy) in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Air Offensive Europe.

He was awarded the follwing: Good Conduct Medal, Presidential Unit Citation with Oak Leaf Cluster, American Defense Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with four bronze battle stars, World War II Victory Medal, and four overseas service bars.

Mr. Thronson was honorably discharged on August 24, 1945, at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin.
