Donald B. Andrews was inducted into the Army on Aug. 8, 1943. He was a technician fifth grade and a powerman with the 3181st Signal Service Battalion on Hawaii and Okinawa. He received the Meritorious Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Service Medal, American Campaign Service Medal and two overseas service bars. He was discharged in 1945.
